The first Claim Jumper Restaurant was opened by its founder, Craig Nickoloff, in Los Alamitos, California, on September 27, 1977. Since then, Claim Jumper Restaurants have expanded to other cities throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin, Colorado and Illinois, bringing its total current count to forty-six locations.
