Founded in 1984, Culver’s is a chain of family-owned and franchised quick dining restaurants that offer guests their ‘famous’ ButterBurgers and frozen custard specialties that started in Sauk Prairie, Wisconsin. Craig Culver, his wife, Lea, and his parents, George and Ruth, wanted to create a restaurant that was both efficient, fast and served the best food with hospitality and smiles. In 2009, Culver’s celebrated its 400th franchise in 17 states.
Culver’s features signature items like the ButterBurgers, which are fresh 100% US-raised beef burgers that melt in your mouth like butter. The Concrete Mixers are milkshakes so thick that customers are given spoons instead of straws to enjoy their frosty dessert.
For the holiday season, Culver’s brought back their signature Egg Nog Shakes, Turtle Sundaes and Mint Oreo Concrete Mixers! During Halloween and Thanksgiving, Culver’s creates their Pumpkin Pie Shake from homemade pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream.
Most of Culver’s coupons are from mailings through newspapers and other local periodicals, and mailers. Savings can include $1 ButterBurgers or buy one, get one free promotions. Most coupons will need to be cut-out or printed. Culver’s offers weekly coupon specials in most Sunday newspapers.
By being a loyal customer and signing up to be part of Culver’s eClub and participating in Scoopie’s Placemat Park, adults and children can enjoy the rewards of being frequent diners. The first time you sign up to be part of the eClub, you will receive an instant coupon for a buy one, get one free meal package. Special packages and prizes are also awarded for recurring patronage. Kid’s Meals have Scoopie Tokens printed on them which can be redeemed for a small frozen custard or saved for future meal deals or Scoopie gear.
By becoming a FaceBook fan, Culver’s afficianados can find out the latest deals and specials instantly. By ‘friending’ the restaurant, you will be sent to special website links to print off exclusive deals and offers.
Culver’s website offers a downloadable widget that lets customers know the “Flavor of the Day”, and by putting it onto your computer, you will receive a coupon for a free small frozen custard.
Because Culver’s does not sell their items online, websites that offer online coupon codes are not reliable.
One website, retailmenot.com offers Culver’s printable coupons, but only from select franchises that may not be in your local area. The location address will be available before printing.
I am writing in regard to Culvers in Marinette, WI. The custard served in cones comes dripping down the cone and sometimes down the servers hand. The custard is WAY TOO SOFT. We have complained about it, but nothing has been down about it. We have been there for cones at least three times in the last two weeks and it always comes dripping!! The last cone I purchased, just days ago, I had to throw away before I could finish it because the cone was so saturated, it could not be eaten. UGH! It would be nice to have this problem taken care of. Thank-you
In response to melting ice cream cones, I guess when it’s 90 degrees you have to expect some dripping cones. Grab an extra napkin and enjoy…… Culvers has some great food, always satisfied with the quality although a bit on the pricy side. When I can afford it, Culvers is my #1 choice.
Randy, your response is ridiculous! Do you really think it is 90 degrees as the Culvers employee is making the cone?!! You completely blew off Shirley’s concern (a valid one) and if that is your attitude, then you have no business responding to anyone.
Shirley, perhaps you should have refused that cone. maybe they have custard from another machine you could have gotten. Remember, you are the customer paying for a product. If that product is sub standard, then bring it to the manager’s attention. If you still aren’t satisfied, contact the home office. They take these concerns very seriously; unlike Randy’s response.
I’d rather have dripping than what I got in my cone in August.
As I drove down the road, licking happily, I felt something cold & hard
in my mouth. I thought is was a piece of ice but NO, it was a small brass key.
When I returned to my local Culver’s, the manager would not come out to speak
with me. They offered my another cone, but since I also had ordered a dinner salad,
I opted for that. They took my name & info but never did hear from that manager.
By the way, the key was the custard machines key. So bewware as you lick!!
My husband I stopped for an early dinner last week in Wisconsin Dells, WI and had probably the worst meal we’ve ever had. Hard, dry buns and hard, dry roast beef. Cold chicken sandwich on a dry crumbling, small bun. Garden veg. soup had 2 pieces of a veg in a tomato broth; green pepper soup with beef – I’m sure the beef was an after thought as we didn’t see a crumb of beef in it. All for $15 – they’ve taken junk food to a new level!! I WILL NOT stop at a Culvers again.
reply to Sharon.
What a shame that you had a bad experience. I happened into a Culvers 2 years ago for the first time and since then will stop whenever I see one. I’m from Florida where there isn’t any. I have never had a bad meal……..its always been excellant, but I always order the double Butter Burger.
I absolutely love Culvers and have ever since they opened. I occasionally have had a bad meal but will continue to go there. Great deals and great food.
If you have a problem with a Culvers, contact the headquarters.
I love Culver’s I make a point to hit up everyone that I come across. I’ve always been greeted by friendly service and it is always clean! Not to mention the food is great as well!
I never had a bad experience at Culver’s! Their food is always fresh.
My advise to those with problems: you need to be your own advocate. If you were unahappy with your custard- take it back before you leave. Demand to speak with a manager. If the manager does not want to speak with you– call Craig Culver himself! I’m sure he would love to know your concerns, so he can fix the problem.
I love love love Culvers. I had a problem with thier hamburgers being so skimpy, and I contacted Culvers headquarters and got a call from the owner/manager of the local Culvers and he said he was sorry, that there had been a quality control problem but it was taken care of he and sent me some coupons for some free food. The frozen custard is THE BOMB.
